Not Just A Blonde

We are "Not Just" who we seem to be on this Earthly plane, but so much more. We are ALL children of a loving God who is calling us home to Love. This blog is dedicated to those of us on that journey together…

I’ve made it 5 days of eating (processed) sugar-free! The cravings are no better, but no worse and… happy me! I’ve discovered hamburgers off the grill seem to take away my sugar craving! Go figure! 😉 Bring on the beef and bring on the protein!  I ate 2 extra thick and juicy ones on a sugar-free bun with mayo and mustard… yum!😋

My diet today also included a fruit and a nut bar (or two), carrots, celery, coffee with sugar-free coconut milk, an apple, an apricot, and trail mix of nuts, seeds and dried fruit. I also drank water and of course more sugar-free iced tea! I was still hungry most of the day… I’ve learned it is likely because my brain is asking for the sugar it has been so accustomed to! Actually, my brain is demanding it! Ha! I just hope my body and brain thank me later after I fully detox… right now it just feels like I am torturing myself! 😆

5 days sugar-free is quite a nice accomplishment for me nonetheless! I’ve been wondering if adding fruit back into my diet was a good idea or if it was a foolish one. I’m going to have to just see how I do with it and go from there. As of now I’m glad I did, ifor no other reason that I am grateful for additional non-processed sugar-free foods to eat that have enough substance to help satisfy my heightened appetite!

Congrats and there is more to consider. Sugar isn’t the only culprit. I’ve lost 18 lbs in a month so far. That is just veggie juice from a juicer for lunch and eating good choices at other times. No soda, alcohol, sugar, coffee, high fructose corn syrup, white salt or white flour. I am also drinking lots of lemon water. I added nuts (peanuts, almonds and cashews lightly salted with seasalt and nothing else on them) for snacks in between meals. Consider expanding what you are removing from your intake. Since you already are kicking the sugar these others will benefit you greatly as well. Good luck on your adventure.
